The End of The Cycle for Tottenham

Image
Spurs so far this season have been quite disappointing if not very underwhelming. They sit in 9th position in the Premier League table after eight with over 11 points, four points away from the relegation zone and fifteen points away from leaders Liverpool. Though it is unlikely that they will finish mid-table at the end of the season, their form doesn't give any sign of encouragement and has been since the start of the calendar year. Mauricio Pochettino stated that if he would leave Spurs after potentially winning the Champions League after leading Spurs to the Final. They eventually lost the game 2-0 to Liverpool and while it was a remarkable achievement for Spurs to reach the Final, that was the highest ceiling Poch could take with that Spurs team, particularly after a poor end to the 2018/19 season were they narrowly made it into the top four. Their performances so far this season haven't been great to say this is just a blip. Aside from a strong display against Cry...

Wolves Leave City Stunned It may be early days in the season so far but Wolves have given City a big blow to the title aspirations this season, winning the game 2-0 at the Etihad on Sunday as City remain eight points behind Liverpool going into the international break after eight games. The away side did well to limit the amount of chances City got in the first half whilst having chances of their own with Patrick Cutrone and Raul Jiménez unable to capitalize whenever Wolves were on the counter attack. The defending champions had the majority of possession but were still unable to break Wolves' defence with their best chance coming from a free kick by David Silva that hit the crossbar. Nuno's approach to the game paid off in the 80th minute when Jiménez went past Otamendi and laid it off for Adama Traore who finished it past Ederson. With City pushing a lot of players to find an equalizer, they were caught out again in the 90th minute, with Jiménez laying it for Traore a...
