Liverpool get 2-1 win at the Bridge

Liverpool remain perfect in the Premier League so far this season as they got a 2-1 victory against Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. Both sides were looking to bounce back from midweek defeats in the Champions League, and it was the Reds that took the initiative in the first half as they went in front from Trent Alexander-Arnold who scored a stunning free-kick. Chelsea thought they equalized from César Azpilicueta but was ruled out for offside by VAR. Few minutes later, Roberto Firmino scored Liverpool's second from another set piece. Chelsea upped their game in the second half, putting pressure on Liverpool and their belief grew more when N'golo Kante scored a lovely goal to get Chelsea back in the game. Chances from Michy Batshuayi and Mason Mount could have given the Blues a point but Liverpool held on for their 15th consecutive win in the Premier League while Chelsea still wait for a first victory for Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge.

Unimaginative Barça lose to Granada

Barcelona's troubles on the road continues as they fell to a shock 2-0 defeat to newly-promoted Granada on Saturday at Los Cármenes. Following their goalless draw against Borussia Dortmund, Barça made a few changes to their line-up with Junior Firpo coming in for the injured Jordi Alba while Messi, Fati and Busquets were on the bench while Rakitić, Perez . Things went to the worst possible start for Barcelona as they went all goal down in just two minutes when Ramon Azeez scored a simple goal to put the hosts in front. Barcelona lacked any cutting edge throughout the game with Griezmann ineffective on the left hand side. Fati and Messi were brought on in the second half but were unable to break the Granada defence. The hosts were awarded a penalty when Arturo Vidal handled the ball in the penalty box and Álvardo Vallido. Barcelona were very disappointing but Granada gained a deserved victory for their efforts on the night.

Delaney Own Goal prevents BVB win

An own goal from Thomas Delaney very late in the game meant that Borussia Dortmund would have only a point as they drew 2-2 against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday at the Commerzbank-Arena. Axel Witzel gave the away side the lead very early in the game but just two minutes before halftime, André Silva equalized to score his first goal for Eintracht Frankfurt. Dortmund took the lead again, this time it was Jadon Sancho, who continues his fine start to the season. It looked that BVB will be getting all three points but an own goal from Thomas Delaney gave Frankfurt an equalizer which they held on to until the final whistle. Dortmund will be disappointed that they have dropped points, particularly from a winning position and they now 3rd in the Bundesliga table with 10 points, three behind leaders RB Leipzig.

Lukaku and Inter get three in Milan Derby

Inter Milan boosted their title credentials this season following a 2-0 win against city rivals AC Milan at the San Siro on Saturday. It has been a contrast between the two Milan clubs. Inter have a 100 percent record in Serie A so far this season while Milan have struggled under new coach Marco Giampaolo. Both teams went for it in the first half but Inter have the best chances to score with Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez being denied by Gianluigi Donnarumma while Danilo D'Ambrosio scored but was ruled out for offside. Four minutes into the second half, Inter took the lead from Marcelo Brozović whose strike deflected into the net. Inter continued as they gained more control of the game with possession and then Lukaku scored Inter's second, heading a cross from Nicólo Barella. It was a good performance from the Nerazzurri as their perfect record in the league continues under Antonio Conte.
