PL Preview: Liverpool V. Manchester City

It has been one of the games a lot of people were waiting for. Manchester City, the team to beat following from their 100 points winning campaign last season, face-off against Liverpool, the team likely to challenge city for the Premier League this season on Sunday at Anfield. Hyped as one of the games of the season with the attacking flair of both teams, the charisma of Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp and the world class players on both sides in front of a buoyant Anfield crowd. Both sides have started the season with both sides on 19 points from their seven games played in the league so far suggesting where the title challenge is this season. City are above just by goal difference making the game more important with the team that gets the three points will have the edge as the international break beckons. Premier League Preview (Top 6)

The Premier League will make its return on August 10th when Manchester United face Leicester City at Old Trafford. It will be another nine months of football that will have stories, twists and turns for all the twenty teams involved. The attention will no doubt be on the Top 6 (Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur) so this preview is exclusively on those six teams and seeing what we can expect from them with the changes they've made for the coming season. Arsenal This will be the first time in 22 years that Arsenal will not have Arsene Wenger at the dugout. Unai Emery was appointed as his successor and has already stamped his authority. Arsenal finished sixth last season, their lowest finish under Wenger. Emery has made signings to improve their defensive spine with Bernd Leno, Lucas Torreira, Sotkratis Papastathopoulos, Matteo Guendouzi and Stephen Lichsteiner.
