The 2019/2020 Premier League season has finally ended, almost a year when the season started. The season will be known as the season where football was stopped for three months due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, to the credit of the league, the season was finally finished on the field rather than any technicality. Liverpool were crowned champions for the first time in thirty years while Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea will play in the Champions League next season. Leicester City and Tottenham will play Europa League football next season while Norwich City, Bournemouth and Watford were relegated from the Premier League and will play in the EFL Championship next season. Following the summer which has given us three major tournaments, the football season is fast approaching with the Premier League starting in two weeks with the first game at Anfield between Liverpool and Norwich City. Let's take a preview of the upcoming season with the first seven teams based on their potential final position come May next year.  Sheffield United. Potential Finish: 20th Sheffield United are back in the Premier League for the first time since 2007 having been at the Third Division just two years ago. As the final week of matches before the international break, teams will be looking to assess their season thus far having played seven games with more to come. Gameweek 8 in the Premier League saw Brighton beat West Ham on Friday with six games played on Saturday. Wolves made it four wins in five games beating Crystal Palace 1-0 while Huddersfield and Cardiff City remain winless with Huddersfield earning a 1-1 draw against Burnley while Cardiff lost to Spurs 1-0. The Premier League is finally back after the international break as Matchday 5 started with the biggest game of the weekend as Liverpool faced Tottenham at Wembley in the 12:30 kickoff. Chelsea and Watford were looking to continue their 100 percent start with Chelsea facing Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge while Watford faced Manchester United.
