Liverpool: Premier League Champions

Image
'We have to change from doubters to believers.' Those where the words that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said in his first press conference when he was appointed the job in October 2015. Now, those words have change to past as Liverpool are crowned Premier League champions for the first time ever and their first league title in thirty years. They did have some help from Chelsea as the Blues beat Manchester City 2-1 yesterday at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Christian Pulisic and Willian, meaning Liverpool have won the league with seven games to spare, a Premier League record. Despite its inevitability, Liverpool's achievement this season should not be underestimated as they have blown the competition to finally reach the holy grail. Following last season where they won the Champions League but missed out on the title despite gaining 97 points, many questioned how Liverpool will pick themselves up this season despite amassing the third highest points tally in En

Premier League returns with City scoring three past Arsenal The Premier League made its return yesterday after a hundred day absence due to the coronavirus pandemic. Aston Villa and Sheffield United played the first game of the restart which ended goalless. However, there was a moment of controversy at the end of the first half when the Blades played a free-kick that Villa keeper Orjan Nyland fumbled over the line. Goalline technology, which is usually faultless, didn't read the ball going over the line which bemused those around Villa Park. Manchester City hosted Arsenal at the Etihad in the second game where they won 3-0. It was a day to forget for Mikel Arteta and more particularly David Luiz, who had a horrible show when he came on for Pablo Mari. The Brazilian was at fault for Raheem Sterling's opener before giving away a penalty early in the second half, which was converted by Kevin De Bruyne and was sent off. Phil Foden scored City's third capping off a horrible

The Premier League will make its return on June 17th with Aston Villa hosting Sheffield United and Arsenal visiting the defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad. Here's where we left off. Liverpool: Record Breakers? The race for the Premier League title looks to be a foregone conclusion with Liverpool sitting at the top with a massive 25-point gap between them and 2nd placed Manchester City. Liverpool fans will be glad that they will see the team win on the field rather than some sort of technicality. They are six points away from winning the title for the first time in thirty years and their first of the Premier League era.  A remarkable achievement for manager Jürgen Klopp. They have dropped just five points from the 29 games they have played and have been a massiv
