Norwich get shock win over City

Norwich City have pulled off one of the shocks of the season so far, beating the defending champions Manchester City 3-2 on Saturday at Carrow Road. Hit by an injury crisis, the Canaries didn't feel intimidated and went at City, a brave thing to do despite City's strengths. Kenny McLean and Todd Cantwell scored to give Norwich a two lead before Sergio Agüero halved their lead before halftime. Teemu Pukki scored his 7th goal of the season to put Norwich 3-1 up with Carrow Road feeling like dreamland. However, Rodri made it 3-2 in the last two minutes, bringing up the tension and with City's pressure in the last few moments of the game, the Canaries held on to a famous win as City have lost for the first time in the league since February against Newcastle.

Barça score five past Valencia

Barcelona got their league campaign back on track, beating Valencia 5-2 at the Camp Nou on Saturday. Ansu Fati started with Lionel Messi still out injured and made good use of it, netting the first goal in just two minutes, continuing his fine form. Frenkie de Jong scored his first goal for the Blaugrana five minutes later giving Barça a two goal lead. Kevin Gameiro scored for Valencia to make it 2-1 at halftime but Barcelona sweep the floor in the second half. Gerard Pique restored Barça's two goal cushion and Luis Suárez marked his return from injury with a brace, leaving Valencia's hopes out of reach, Maxi Gómez scored the second goal for Valencia but it was a mere consolidation goal as Barcelona won 5-2 on the night.

Stalemate at the Red Bull Arena

RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich played to a 1-1 draw at the Red Bull Arena, keeping Leipzig at the top of the table after four games. The game was seen as a big game in a potential title race between both sides with only two points separating them. The Bavarians went in front after just three minutes on the clock from Robert Lewandowski, who has started the season in pulsating form, scoring seven goals in just four games. Both sides were on the front foot but Bayern were keeping Peter Gulasci busy with a string of saves. Before halftime, Leipzig were awarded a penalty and after a review from VAR, the penalty was given and Emil Forsberg converted from the spot. The second half was no different but Leipzig had two chances for Timo Werner to score but failed to capitalize. The game ended in a stalemate as it gives a clear indication that Leipzig could challenge Bayern for the Bundesliga this season and it could be close.

Juve blank against Viola

Juventus could be fortunate that their unbeaten run is still intact after a goalless draw against Fiorentina on Saturday at the Artemio Franchi. The Viola were in terrible form going against the Old Lady. They have been without a win in 16 games which stretches back to February and their games this season include a 4-3 defeat to Napoli and a 2-1 defeat to Genoa. Fiorentina were given a gift when Szczesny's clearance deflected off Federico Chiesa from five yards out. Szczesny was called upon for Juventus making two saves in the first half to keep the score level. In the second half, Fiorentina looked like the team more likely to score with three big chances that left a lot to be desired. The game ended goalless but the Viola will be very encouraged by their performance. As for Juventus, it was a poor showing, conceding many chances and created little as Sarri will be feeling quite irritated.
